Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Fliplove AI - Love Cards collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our iOS and Android apps. By using Fliplove, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Fliplove, we may collect:
- Account information: email address, display name, Firebase user ID, and sign-in identifiers if you use Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple.
- Couple / pairing data: invite codes, QR pairing data, and your linked partner relationship ID.
- User content: love cards (text, drawings, photos you choose), AI couple scenes, AI music you generate, and messages you send to the in-app AI assistant.
- Photos and camera: only when you pick a photo or take a picture for a card/scene, or scan a partner invite QR code. We do not access your full photo library in the background.
- Purchase / subscription data: subscription status, product identifiers, and entitlement state processed by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat. We do not store full payment card numbers.
- Device and diagnostics: crash logs, performance data, app version, device type, and Firebase Analytics events about how you use the app (for example sign-in or card sent). These events are for app functionality and analytics only — not for advertising.
- Notifications: a push token so we can deliver card and reminder notifications if you allow them.
2. Face data (photos that may include faces)
What we collect: Fliplove does not use Face ID, TrueDepth, ARKit face meshes, facial geometry templates, or biometric face-matching APIs. The only “face data” we process is ordinary photos that you (and optionally your partner) voluntarily select or take for the optional Couple Photo / AI scene feature. Those photos may depict your face or your partner’s face.
Planned use: We use those photos only to generate a romantic couple-scene image when you tap Generate. We do not use face photos for advertising, identity verification, surveillance, or to build a face-recognition database.
Sharing / third parties: When you confirm AI consent and generate a couple scene, the selected photos are uploaded to Google Firebase Cloud Storage and then processed by Google Gemini / Vertex AI (via our Cloud Function) to create the output image. We do not sell face photos. Your paired partner may receive a generated scene if you flip it to them as a love card.
Storage: Input photos and generated images are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Storage and related Firestore metadata) on our project infrastructure.
Retention: Face-containing photos and generated scenes are retained while your account (and related couple content) remains active, or until you delete the content / delete your account. After account deletion we remove associated user profile data and related stored media from our systems, subject to short-term backups required for security or legal compliance.
Deletion: You can stop using the feature at any time. Use Settings → Delete account to request deletion of your account and associated stored content, including photos uploaded for AI couple scenes.
3. Third-party AI services (what we send and to whom)
Optional AI features send user-provided content to third-party AI providers only after you grant in-app permission the first time you use an AI feature:
- Couple photos / scenes: your selected photos (which may include faces) and optional caption → processed by Google Gemini / Vertex AI to generate a couple image.
- AI Love Coach (Assistant): the text messages you type in chat → processed by OpenAI to generate advice or draft love notes.
- AI Music: style choices and dedication text you enter → processed by Google Vertex AI (Lyria) and related Google cover-image models to generate a song and cover art. We do not send microphone recordings of your voice.
AI providers process this content to return the feature result. We do not use AI features for third-party advertising. You can decline the in-app AI permission dialog; AI features will not run without consent.
4. How we use information
- Create and maintain your account and couple pairing
- Send, receive, and store love cards and related media
- Provide optional AI features (messages, couple images, music)
- Process subscriptions and unlock premium features
- Send optional push notifications
- Fix bugs, measure usage, and improve the app
- Respond to support and child-safety reports
- Comply with law and store policies
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your content to train public advertising profiles.
No advertising or tracking. Fliplove does not show third-party ads, does not collect Advertising Data, and does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) to track you across apps or websites. We do not record your microphone or collect your voice. Music in the app is AI-generated audio you choose to create, not audio captured from you.
5. Other service providers
We also use:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics)
- RevenueCat for in-app subscriptions
- Apple App Store and Google Play for billing
6. Permissions
- Camera: take a photo for a couple scene/card, or scan a partner QR code.
- Photo library: choose an existing photo for a card or couple scene, and optionally save generated images to your gallery.
- Notifications: alert you when a card arrives or for reminders you enable.
Permissions are requested only when you use the related feature.
7. Data sharing with your partner
When you pair with a partner, content you send (cards, photos, music, messages) is delivered to that partner’s account. Unpairing / archiving a relationship stops new sharing; previously delivered cards may remain in each person’s history until deleted.
8. Retention
We keep account and content data while your account is active, including photos used for AI couple scenes and AI chat/music history associated with your account. Crash and analytics data are retained according to our providers’ default periods. Subscription records are retained as required for billing and tax.
9. Account deletion and your choices
You can delete your Fliplove account in the app: Settings → Delete account. This removes your user profile from our database and deletes your Firebase Authentication account, and we remove associated stored media where feasible. Some backups, logs, or purchase records may remain for a limited time as required by law or the app stores.
You can also sign out, disable notifications in Settings, and revoke Google or Apple sign-in from those providers’ account settings. You may decline AI consent and continue using non-AI features (pairing and card flipping).
10. Children
Fliplove AI - Love Cards is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We prohibit Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). See our Child Safety Standards.
11. International processing
Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers (including Google and OpenAI) operate.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Fliplove after an update means you accept the revised policy.
